Come to our sales in the Spring and Fall to find gently-used or new:
The Chelmsford Mothers' Club's Kids Tag Sale is one of the biggest children's consignment sales in greater Lowell and suburban Boston. With 60+ sellers and many thousands of items, our tag sale is THE place to find the best deals for your children!
What is a children's consignment sale?
A children's consignment sale is a temporary, seasonal event featuring thousands of gently-used children's items such as clothes, books, toys, equipment and more. Items are priced by individual sellers, who pay a portion of their proceeds to the sponsoring organization to cover hall rental and other costs. All merchandise is well-organized with all sizes and items grouped together, similar to a consignment store, and everything is very reasonably priced. A seasonal consignment sale is a wonderful alternative to running around to yard sales or paying higher prices at a consignment store. You'd be amazed at how much you will save on items for your children by shopping at the Kids Tag Sale!
What will I find at the Chelmsford Mothers' Club Kids Tag Sale?
We will have approximately 15,000+ gently-used children's items at fantastic prices, including:
We accept all brands, so you can easily find play clothes for $1 or upscale dressy clothes for reasonable prices. We always have a huge amount of toys, so the sale is a perfect place to re-stock your toy chest or shop for holidays or birthdays. There are always hundreds of children's and parenting books, and a broad selection of strollers, high chairs, and other essential equipment.
What WON'T I find at the Kids Tag Sale?
You won't find the following items at our consignment sale:
Is there an admission fee?
Yes, the admission fee is $1 cash OR one (or more) nonperishable food items for each adult. Food items are donated to local food pantries. Please note we cannot take debit cards for the admission fee. Children are admitted free, although we highly recommend that you leave your children at home, if at all possible. The sale floor can be very, very crowded, there are lots of tempting toys within reach, and you may have to wait in the checkout line for a while if you shop early. If you do bring a non-walking child, please note that only umbrella strollers are allowed on the sale floor due to space issues.
Is there a Half-Price Sale?
Yes! There is a Half-Price Sale from 11:30am to 1:00PM. All items with a WHITE TAG, as well as YELLOW TAGS marked "Discount: Yes" on the tag will be discounted 50%. Items marked "Discount: No" will remain at full price.
NOTE: All customers who enter the sale in the morning will be required to leave the Sale Hall by 11:15AM and purchase their selected items, before re-entering the Sale Hall at 11:30AM for the Half-Price Sale.
Do you have any tips for shoppers?
Are strollers allowed in the sale?
Only umbrella strollers are allowed on the sale floor, due to space issues.
Are there dressing rooms?
No, unfortunately we do not have dressing rooms for trying on children's clothes.
How is the Chelmsford Mothers' Club Kids Tag Sale different from other
local consignment sales?
The CMC Kids Tag Sale was chosen the Boston Parents Magazine's family Favorite Consignment Event in 2017!!!
The CMC Kids Tag Sale sale is truly a win-win event for the public, our members, and local charities. Our sale is arranged as a benefit for our members, who receive 90% of the sales price of their items (most for-profit sales give 60-70%). Most unsold items are donated to charity. Over the past few years, our members have given several truck loads of gently-used children's items to the Lowell Wish Project, the Anne Sullivan Center, and Cradles to Crayons. Also, the Chelmsford Mothers' Club has donated profits from past sales to various Chelmsford nonprofit organizations, including the Chelmsford Library, the Lowell Wish Project, and the Chelmsford Open Space Stewards. Lastly, we all benefit because the more children's items that we all recycle and re-use, the less that end up in landfills.
